What's New this Month!
Soul Sessions: Do you want a Session face to face or by phone?

I am now taking appointments for Skype Video and Skype Phone Sessions! The first available is in June. When you book I will email you to schedule a suitable time. Skype is easy to download and free to use, just go to www.skype.com. If you don’t have a computer at home, we can alternatively schedule a landline phone session (I will call you at our appointment time).
I am also still doing Email Sessions, where you get a huge download of written information, and of course the opportunity to ask follow up questions. The wait time is usually around 1-2 weeks.
Please note, Soul Sessions are not designed to tell you what’s going to happen in the future. You create your reality as you go. The purpose of Soul Sessions is to empower you with information about your energy, coming from your guides and higher self, guiding you to the creation of your best possible self and reality. Obama's Role in these Changing Times
Obama's Role in these Changing Times
Going by a few of the emails I've received, people are getting frustrated at Obama and his government for not fixing things fast enough, for not making our waters smooth again right now so we can get back to our normal lives. Well, as the movie says “We’re not in Kansas anymore Toto.” Enough of the masses collectively decided “We want change, we want a new reality. We are tired of how things have been.” So, the ship has sailed and I believe, is heading in the direction of creating a new reality for us all. But this isn’t going to happen overnight.
I don’t think it is Obama’s role to magically make the waves that are synonymous with great change disappear. Buckle your seats, because the sea IS going to get more stormy. This is how it always is as the Earth moves from one cycle to another. We can’t override nature and cyclic destiny, nor can Obama necessarily halt the process of labour (nor is it meant to halt). I do think it is his role to hold the ship as steady as possible, and while some of you reading this may not agree he is doing a good job, please remember this is a HUGE job! Also, I feel it is his destined job and when you are born to do something, you have inside you all you need to do it well.
I feel he can’t do this alone, and now more than ever we all have to play our part and sway in the direction in which we want to go to help the ship during its passage. Focus on the positive, focus on how you want your personal, and our collective, story to look in the years to come. Don’t try and hold on to what was – it is falling for a reason. Look ahead to the creation of something better.
Together we are birthing a new world, and birth is never an easy process – but it is one of the most amazing transformational experiences someone can go through. It is a blessing to be on Earth during these times of great change.

April 2009: This ‘Crisis’ can be a Good thing.
Did you know that the Chinese symbol for crisis also means opportunity, or a crucial point when something begins or changes?
When I went to write this month’s Monthly Visions I struggled for a few minutes, wondering how to approach the topic of this month in the most sensitive manner possible. I know many people are going through a hard time right now, yet I also know there is potential here for personal and global transformation unlike anything we have seen before. I think the opening sentence captures what I want to say perfectly.
I have always had a vision of these times, ever since I was a little girl. I remember looking around and wondering why the reality I saw around me – of people going to jobs they hated, countries at war with each other, companies polluting the Earth and getting away with it – was so readily accepted. I was particularly confused by the visions I saw of a completely different world, one in which we all lived in harmony with each other and with our planet. One in which people did what they loved to do every day, and created all the abundance they needed. A world in which we honoured creativity, diversity and peace.
For a long time I didn’t know whether these visions were memories of a past life, or premonitions of a future way of being. As I got older my knowing strengthened, and I knew (without knowing how I knew) that it was the latter. We were here, this time, this life, to create a new Earth, with new ways of being. I knew this with every bone in my body, and couldn’t be convinced otherwise. When people said to me “Not in this lifetime” I replied “Yes in this lifetime. Look around. Our environment, our political and corporate structures, our media, our humanity, cannot keep going the way we are going. They are not sustainable. We either have to change or it will all eventually collapse.” Again people argued that yes this change might happen, but not in our lifetime. Again I argued, “It has to be in our lifetime. The world cannot sustain this for too many more years.”
During my 20’s I came across the Mayan and Hopi prophecies about 2012 and they matched everything I knew without knowing how I knew. The prophecies speak of ‘the end of times’ when one cycle ends in preparation for another. Death and rebirth is a natural occurrence, we experience it every year with a new year, we experience it as we change jobs and relationships. It is not a bad thing, it is a positive thing. The only scary thing about change, usually, is the outcome is often unknown and as humans we have a fear of the unknown. So we tend to cling to our old realities for dear life, even if we have outgrown them, even if we know they are no longer good for us or healthy for us or serving us, even if we know the new is probably better, still we resist, still we are afraid: what if I let go and there is nothing there waiting for me?
No-one knows for sure what this new cycle will bring, but my feeling is this: that we are coming to a turning point, a fork in the road. We either keep going the way we have been, clinging to unsustainable forms of living, treating the Earth and our fellow inhabitants in the worst possible ways just to keep our unsustainable economic systems standing, and thus eventually cause the collapse of everything around us. Or, we change. We create new ways of being, we start treating the Earth and our fellow humans in a respectful way, we create new economic systems built on strong, ethical, socially and environmentally conscious foundations. We need systems that help raise people up, not keep them crushed down. In short, we need to move from a way of being that must look to more evolved planets like insanity, to a way of being that is worthy of who we all really are as individuals.
I think the date 2012 was given to us as a gift, so that when the time came we would know what was going on. So that we knew, okay this is not a time to panic, it is a time to get to work. It is not a time to cry and blame and get angry and try to desperately fix the falling old reality. It is a time to get up and get passionate and stick up your hand to say “Yes, I am ready to help build the new reality! Where do I start?”
Everywhere you look you see change now. Yet the kind of change you see will depend on your perspective. If you are fixated on the old reality, yes you will see chaos and people losing jobs and a media that tells you second by second how bad things are. Yet if your eyes are pinned on the new reality emerging, you will see people awakening, humanity becoming more and more conscious every day, a growing urgency to take care of the environment, an increasing intolerance for war as a way to solve problems, and thousands of positive media channels and teachers that are there to inspire you to step into your best self and create your best life.
You will see stories like the one I saw on television recently about the former banker who now drives a taxi cab in New York and LOVES it – he says it’s way more fun and less stressful than his former job. He feels relieved and released by his retrenchment, and he’s still making good money. You will read stories like the one I read in a magazine about a woman who lost her home due to foreclosure and is now so happy in her new home that she is renting for way less money a month. She was able to get something bigger with a huge backyard for her children, in a better location, without the stress of a high mortgage. She feels free and secure, and is able to relax into spending more time with her kids. Yes, it is only perspective that turns crisis into opportunity.
People are worried because these times are so turbulent. Guess what? They were never meant to be smooth! You cannot cross from one reality to another without a few waves. Our Earth and humanity is in the process of labour, birthing a new world. Ask any woman who has had a baby what this feels like! Yet those of us in the Western world aren’t taught to honour natural cycles like birth, death and rebirth. We get scared of them, and try to stop them or turn them into medical events. We call them ‘crises’ and we forget they are opportunities.
Have you ever renovated your house or even done a huge garage or attic clean up? What happens as you go from one step to the other? As you demolish your kitchen to put in a new one? As you throw out old, useless things to create a brand new light-filled space? Mess? Frustration? Yes! But when you’re done, wow, doesn’t it look great! Change isn’t always pretty, but that doesn’t mean it’s a negative thing. Quite to the contrary, it can be and usually is a good thing.
I have just spent some time in Guatemala and while there I was fortunate enough to participate in a Mayan Equinox Ceremony conducted by Mayan elder and priest Don Rigoberto. It was an amazing day organised by Spiritual Archeologist and author of Mayan Astrology Aluna Joy Yaxk’in who was down there with one of her regular tours (go to www.alunajoy.com for more info). I asked Don Rigoberto what the Maya had to say about the changing times and 2012. Don Rigoberto feels that all the indigenous nations need to come together with their various prophecies, so that we can get a more fuller understanding of what we might expect from these times. He agreed that the degree to which humanity can wake up in time, and the greater we all increase our levels of consciousness, will determine the way in which we move through our passage, (with grace or resistance) and what kind of reality awaits us on the other side. Don Rigoberto said that the best thing we can do is keep on our spiritual path through meditation, prayer and always doing things from the heart.
So, keep your eyes focused on where you want to go, on how you want your personal, and our collective, reality to look. Look at things from a different perspective, seeing the opportunity, seeing the positive. Above all, know that this change is a good thing. It’s not an easy process, but one way or other with grace we will get through it, and we will be something different, something better.

March 2009 Monthly Visions: The Medellin Miracle
March 2009: The Medellin Miracle
I love it when life surprises us with unexpected turns and information. Throughout our travels in South America we have consistently encountered people who have just come from Colombia, highly recommending it as a safe, friendly, beautiful country. This was far from the image of Colombia we had heard about over the years: a dangerous country to travel in due to the heavy drug trade, paramilitary squads and mafia hitmen. Yet when even a friends' mother-in-law from Lima said how much she loved it, we decided to give it a go.
Medellin, Colombia, where I have just spent some time, was known as the most violent city in the world with up to 500 people killed a month thanks to the local war waged by Pablo Escobar (1949-1993). Escobar’s Medellin cartel once controlled 80% of the global cocaine market, and the 1989 Forbes Rich List named Escobar as the seventh richest man in the world. He is infamous for everything from being a ‘Robin Hood’ for the people, responsible for building churches, sports fields and housing projects, to the extreme violence he used to send a message, along with being the reason thousands of people were left to grieve family members who didn’t survive the daily shoot-outs, unable to sleep at night because of the gunfire.
A government negotiation offering a reduced sentence and preferential treatment in exchange for Escobar’s surrender, his murder in 1993 and the positive social and cultural impact of the Metro train lines which started in the years following all played a part in what has become known as ‘the Medellin Miracle’. Today Medellin is unrecognisable to what it must have been like at the height of Escobar’s power, and during the years that followed.
An article in last month’s Cornell Chronicle talks about the most recent changes saying: In 2003 Sergio Fajardo was elected mayor seeking to ‘destroy the walls that separate us.” He vowed to reduce violence and restore hope to the city. He was convinced that education was the key to social transformation, and placed 4000 young people in training programs. He hired architects to build library parks, entrepreneurship centres and science museums. He increased the education budget to build new schools and refurbish old ones. Fajardo left office in 2007 with an 89% reduction in the annual murder rate, and is now a presidential hopeful. (McCoy) A new slogan they have started using to attract tourists is: “The only risk with Colombia is that you’ll never want to leave.”
Medellin happened to be featured in my inflight magazine on the way there and I was intrigued to read about one of its poorest areas, Santo Domingo. It used to be a former popular recruiting ground for guerrilla groups and hired hitmen targeting those desperate for daily survival money. It now has a weapons exchange program, where people receive a musical instrument for every weapon they hand in, programs for reintegration education and job creation, and a new public library and park, transforming Santo Domingo into a clean, safe, friendly neighbourhood. (Cuevas) A stroll through the Carabobo, a wide, clean corso in down town Medellin, filled with amazing bronze sculptures, features striking posters stating: “Violence will not return to my city.” The people have had enough, and you can literally feel the zero tolerance energy held in the air by the majority of citizens for any drugs or violence.
Why have I shared this story here today? The story of the ‘Medellin Miracle’ is living proof of the beliefs I have always held. That change is possible, when enough people demand it. That where there is hope there is potential for the creation of a new reality, entirely different to the one previously experienced. We are living in difficult times, yes. The economy, climate change, wars, we all know about the situations we are facing. Yet, in answer to anyone who believes we are on a downhill slope with no way of saving ourselves I offer this story of Medellin as a source of not only inspiration, but real life physical evidence that a complete turnaround is possible. Walking through the streets I could have been in any cosmopolitan European city. Interacting with locals you could imagine they had never seen anything more violent than a speck of road rage. I wondered how many loved ones each of them had lost, in one way or another. I wondered how you move on from a past like that?
As I felt into their energy during my days there I realised that they must have had a choice; To stay bonded to their past, wrapping themselves up in anger, grief and feeling isolated from a world afraid to come anywhere near them, or to move forward with a fresh start and try completely new ways of living. Educating their children, using the Metro to get outside their former worlds and opening to new jobs and social centres, uniting as a community, all of these things have helped perform the ‘miracle’.
So too, our whole world right now needs a miracle. Yet this miracle won’t just fall out of the sky, we the people need to create it. We all have our part to play, and if the only thing you do is believe that a miracle is possible then that’s your contribution right there. Next time you catch yourself thinking that the world, or your finances, or your job situation, or the wars, or poverty or anything else you are worried about, is in too much of a mess to change for the positive, then think about Medellin. ‘Mess’ is simply a sign that whatever we were doing before isn’t working. So, it’s time to get out our brooms and start sweeping. It’s time to get out our ideals, hopes and visions and start dreaming. If the people of Medellin can move forward, so can you. I love it when life surprises us with unexpected turns and information. Throughout our travels in South America we have consistently encountered people who have just come from Colombia, highly recommending it as a safe, friendly, beautiful country. This was far from the image of Colombia we had heard about over the years: a dangerous country to travel in due to the heavy drug trade, paramilitary squads and mafia hitmen. Yet when even a friends' mother-in-law from Lima said how much she loved it, we decided to give it a go.
Medellin, Colombia, where I have just spent some time, was known as the most violent city in the world with up to 500 people killed a month thanks to the local war waged by Pablo Escobar (1949-1993). Escobar’s Medellin cartel once controlled 80% of the global cocaine market, and the 1989 Forbes Rich List named Escobar as the seventh richest man in the world. He is infamous for everything from being a ‘Robin Hood’ for the people, responsible for building churches, sports fields and housing projects, to the extreme violence he used to send a message, along with being the reason thousands of people were left to grieve family members who didn’t survive the daily shoot-outs, unable to sleep at night because of the gunfire.
A government negotiation offering a reduced sentence and preferential treatment in exchange for Escobar’s surrender, his murder in 1993 and the positive social and cultural impact of the Metro train lines which started in the years following all played a part in what has become known as ‘the Medellin Miracle’. Today Medellin is unrecognisable to what it must have been like at the height of Escobar’s power, and during the years that followed.
An article in last month’s Cornell Chronicle talks about the most recent changes saying: In 2003 Sergio Fajardo was elected mayor seeking to ‘destroy the walls that separate us.” He vowed to reduce violence and restore hope to the city. He was convinced that education was the key to social transformation, and placed 4000 young people in training programs. He hired architects to build library parks, entrepreneurship centres and science museums. He increased the education budget to build new schools and refurbish old ones. Fajardo left office in 2007 with an 89% reduction in the annual murder rate, and is now a presidential hopeful. (McCoy) A new slogan they have started using to attract tourists is: “The only risk with Colombia is that you’ll never want to leave.”
Medellin happened to be featured in my inflight magazine on the way there and I was intrigued to read about one of its poorest areas, Santo Domingo. It used to be a former popular recruiting ground for guerrilla groups and hired hitmen targeting those desperate for daily survival money. It now has a weapons exchange program, where people receive a musical instrument for every weapon they hand in, programs for reintegration education and job creation, and a new public library and park, transforming Santo Domingo into a clean, safe, friendly neighbourhood. (Cuevas) A stroll through the Carabobo, a wide, clean corso in down town Medellin, filled with amazing bronze sculptures, features striking posters stating: “Violence will not return to my city.” The people have had enough, and you can literally feel the zero tolerance energy held in the air by the majority of citizens for any drugs or violence.
Why have I shared this story here today? The story of the ‘Medellin Miracle’ is living proof of the beliefs I have always held. That change is possible, when enough people demand it. That where there is hope there is potential for the creation of a new reality, entirely different to the one previously experienced. We are living in difficult times, yes. The economy, climate change, wars, we all know about the situations we are facing. Yet, in answer to anyone who believes we are on a downhill slope with no way of saving ourselves I offer this story of Medellin as a source of not only inspiration, but real life physical evidence that a complete turnaround is possible. Walking through the streets I could have been in any cosmopolitan European city. Interacting with locals you could imagine they had never seen anything more violent than a speck of road rage. I wondered how many loved ones each of them had lost, in one way or another. I wondered how you move on from a past like that?
As I felt into their energy during my days there I realised that they must have had a choice; To stay bonded to their past, wrapping themselves up in anger, grief and feeling isolated from a world afraid to come anywhere near them, or to move forward with a fresh start and try completely new ways of living. Educating their children, using the Metro to get outside their former worlds and opening to new jobs and social centres, uniting as a community, all of these things have helped perform the ‘miracle’.
So too, our whole world right now needs a miracle. Yet this miracle won’t just fall out of the sky, we the people need to create it. We all have our part to play, and if the only thing you do is believe that a miracle is possible then that’s your contribution right there. Next time you catch yourself thinking that the world, or your finances, or your job situation, or the wars, or poverty or anything else you are worried about, is in too much of a mess to change for the positive, then think about Medellin. ‘Mess’ is simply a sign that whatever we were doing before isn’t working. So, it’s time to get out our brooms and start sweeping. It’s time to get out our ideals, hopes and visions and start dreaming. If the people of Medellin can move forward, so can you. If a whole city can change, then many cities can change. If many cities can change, then the world can too. Everything is possible.

February 2009: The Physical (Dis) Allowance of Higher Energies
I am loving how I get to physically live out all the messages and insights of these Monthly Visions before I get to share them with you. Rather than receive a download of information, it seems that lately I’m thrust in the middle of an action-packed movie scene just to get the full throttle experience of whatever it is I’m about to write about. I’m reminded of that movie Enchanted where the fairytale character comes to life and finds herself in the streets of New York. The contents of her storybook – all about jumping into the unknown, trusting that she will always be safe and provided for, following her heart, making magic happen, continuing to be her true self and believing in happily ever after – spill out from the pages into real life. The question within the movie is: can the two realities truly overlap?
Can the world of fairytales and ideals still exist in the ‘real’ world where money and jobs and bushfires and the economy and love and feelings and fears and dreams and health all exist too? Can the law of attraction and trusting in the unknown and manifesting all you need truly exist outside the pages of self-help books and workshops and vision boards? Can these things become a part of our daily life, and not just temporary inspirational sparks to get us through a tough time? A lot of people are asking these questions now. We are in such an intense time with two extremes of realities overlapping. On the one hand the economy is going through a nervous breakdown and the weather has gone completely crazy. To those observing with only their 3D eyes it would seem that the world is on the brink of collapse. On the other hand we have never before (in our lifetime) been exposed to so much information that insists we are the creators of our reality, and that we have the choice, the power, to decide the future direction of our personal and global world. Total empowerment is butting heads with total helplessness. It’s an interesting crossroads. To those observing with multi-dimensional ‘fairytale’ eyes, it would seem that the world is on the brink of transformation.
The key to this transformation has to lie in the merging of our two realities. We cannot any longer live in the old 3D world. Our economic foundation turns out to have rotting floorboards. Our Mother Earth is sick and tired of our abuse of her body. Unplugged from our Source energy we cannot last too much longer. So, Source energy has been calling us home to re-connect to our higher energies via this influx of spiritual and conscious information we have been receiving. Yet we cannot rely on information alone for our sustenance. To do so would be to spend life with our head in a book, our body in a workshop, our mind in meditation. The words on the page would be perfect, but a separation would remain between our ‘fairytale’ life and our ‘real’ life. And so, for those most comfortable in the fairytale realms, it is time to come out and bring this energy into your daily life. Walk your talk. BELIEVE in what you believe, not as theory but as truths that you live by. For those accustomed to the daily grind of the 3D, don’t be scared to follow the yellow brick road when it opens up before you and promises to lead you to a much more colourful landscape.

After a few days of this happening on and off, then culminating in an intense moment where I thought my chest was about to explode, the room was spinning around me, my heart rate was going a thousand miles an hour and I thought I was about to die, I asked my guides “What is this about? What are you trying to show me” They said: “This is what happens when people cut themselves off from Source energy. It is like cutting off your very life source. You are in a higher altitude now and you feel like you can’t breathe because you think there is less oxygen available to you. Likewise, when getting closer to the higher energies people start thinking that there is only so much available to them (abundance, love, success, joy). Their beliefs around lack and limitations move them into fear and doubt and worry, and bang, one minute they were heading for Source energy where all that they need is available to them, the next they have turned away from it. Their thoughts cut them off from that which they desire and just like you now feel you can’t breathe, they feel they can’t access all that they desire. And in that moment it is true. They cannot. You cannot access what you desire while turned away from Source energy, which happens when you think thoughts of lack and limitation. Yet if you refuse the thoughts of lack and limitation, if you believe that YES there is enough in the higher energies for me and for all of us (enough oxygen, enough abundance, enough love, enough everything), then straight away you are turned toward it again and can breathe it in, let it in, allow it to come to you. It is as simple as that.
So, there I was in my bed in La Paz thinking “You couldn’t have just told me this??” But no, they wanted to show me, as they are wanting to show me these days all things, what our thoughts do to us physically: be it our jobs, relationships, bank accounts, health or anything else. In any given moment we are either letting Source energy in and expanding into more of who we are, or turning our back to Source and restricting ourselves, literally right down to our cellular physiological level.
I am in Peru now and happy to say am back to being able to breathe properly, but what an intense experience that was. So, this month, face Source and your higher energies. Let them in, breathe them in. Take a moment to literally feel the physical sensation of restriction in your body (and you will feel it) anytime you think thoughts that are lack or limitation oriented. Re-orient your compass toward Source and your higher energies by visualising eternal limitlessness in front of you, knowing there is enough of all you need, and you can let it in.
Have an oxygen full February!

January 2009 Message: So Who do you Think You are?
Welcome to the first message and newsletter of 2009! I am only just now writing it as I’m in Chile and have spent the beginning of the New Year re-charging my inner batteries. We spent the first week of the year camping in beautiful Pucon, and last week we camped out in a remote place in the mountains with no access to internet, computers or electricity surrounded by forest and hot springs. I mentioned to the owner of the site that it was great to be switched off for a while, and he quite accurately corrected me saying “I think being here makes you more switched on: to nature and to who you really are.” Too true.
Which brings me to what is shaping up to be the theme of the year: being switched on to who you really are. I was wondering the other night what would be the topic for this month’s Monthly Visions as usually I don’t get to find out until I start typing. I suddenly got the message that it would be called “So who do you think you are?” That’s quite an abrupt question, isn’t it? I thought. Then I looked at what they meant by that. This is the year of truly knowing we are the creators of our own reality. It is the year of really getting that our thoughts create our reality.
So, who we think we are (or aren’t) is totally and completely influencing the life we find ourselves living. What we believe is possible, will be possible, and what we believe is not, will not, until we change our thoughts around it. It is the year to ask yourself: Does who you think you are match who you really are, or is it making you live a self and life that is less than who you are?
Henry Ford was once quoted as saying: “Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t, you will always be right.” That pretty much sums it up, and is proving true daily on this travelling adventure we are on. The swiftness of the physical manifestation to our thoughts is increasing rapidly. So much so that it is becoming a literal health hazard to start worrying about anything because I instantly get the same uncomfortable physical symptom. Whenever I go into resistance about anything I get another particular symptom. Tension on the mental plane creates tension on the physical plane, and the more conscious you are of this, the faster it manifests!! It is like you start squeezing a hose tightly, the hose that contains the flow from you to your greater self, to your own Source energy. No wonder so many symptoms feel like literal tension and restriction: headaches, neck pain, digestive issues etc. These symptoms are our friends because they are alerting us to the fact that we have been thinking thoughts that are not in alignment with who we really are, and that we need to shift gears immediately. It is showing us that this ‘thoughts create your reality’ concept is as real as can be, and if the same kind of thoughts produce the same kind of physical symptoms over and over again, then those thoughts are ALSO producing the same kind of results and manifestations in our physical life too.
I have to admit that it can be really challenging to have this instant manifestation at times, because it doesn’t seem to matter if 99% of the time we are thinking in alignment, if we drop to worry or fear even for a few minutes it seems to create some physical issue straight away! I feel like shouting to the universe, give us a break!!! I sometimes feel like we are on a very strict training program, and they won’t let us get away with anything except pure high vibrational thought even for a moment. Well I guess we are on a training program– we all are. This is new territory for us, to be living like this 100% of the time, and going into something new takes you out of your old comfort zones which is always challenging!
On a more wonderful note, positive instant manifestation is happening constantly. Whenever we manage to keep our thoughts aligned, and thus our vibration high (simply, our hose connection is flowing easily and so we feel our connection to our higher self and Source energy more) everything works out well. We receive abundance when we need it, we feel safe and protected, we are guided to our next destination easily. Yet, I have realised that being aligned is really not about the receiving of these things, because truly we are all looked after and at the end of the day we will all always receive at least the basics of that we truly need regardless of our degree of alignment. It is about feeling good. It is about feeling good on the way there, instead of feeling stressed, or worried, or working yourself up into a frenzy for nothing. It is about allowing things to come to you more easefully, rather than feeling like you have to offer some mammoth Herculean effort in order to get things to happen. It can sometimes even feel like constantly being in alignment is a Herculean effort, but that in itself is just an indicator of how much we are used to thinking out of alignment. We are so used to worrying and stressing out that not to feels ‘hard’ sometimes. It is like when you are used to slouching on the couch. Your stomach muscles have convinced you that they feel better all loose and relaxed. Starting to do 100 sit ups a day feels hard and at first it hurts. But, eventually, you start to feel your inner core get stronger. Your back feels straighter, and your breathing improves along with your posture. Slouching on the couch and never exercising in theory feels like a good idea, but actually doing it no longer feels good once you have moved into a fitter, healthier lifestyle.
So it is with a life more in alignment with who you are. Once you start moving into it, you can’t go back. Nor would you want to really. Yes it takes constant 'vibrational' effort, just like going to the gym. But in time it gets easier and just like that wonderful feeling you get from working out that lasts the whole day, so it is with thinking thoughts aligned with who you really are. It feels good, it physically feels better, it feels just like the rush of endorphins you get from working out. And just like going to the gym creates a better feeling, better looking, healthier body, being aligned creates a better feeling, better looking, healthier life, on every level.
So, what you look like and what your life looks like, totally depends on what you think. Who you are (and who you become) depends on who you think you are. Now the great thing is, you can change your thoughts about who you think you are at any time, even right now, and it will start shifting you straight away. Who you think you are is not written in stone, and even if you’ve been thinking that way your whole life, you now don’t need months or years to ‘undo’ that thinking. You can undo it right now. Yes it’s a process, yes you’ll keep wanting to revert to the old thoughts. Oh yes it can frustrate you no end, but just keep persevering.
Your life looks the way it looks because of your thoughts. If something isn’t as you want it to be, change your thoughts. Don’t blame life’s circumstances, your childhood, your parents, your ex-partner, your current partner, your age, your financial situation, the economy or anything or anyone outside of you. Don’t give excuses or justify how or why you got where you got. Don’t tell me ‘but I can’t because...’ because I am going to tell you ‘oh but you can’. You can do it, whatever it is. You can be it, whatever it is. You can have it, whatever it is. There is nothing ever stopping you except your own thoughts. Likewise there is nothing ever creating your life except your own thoughts. So how wonderful and liberating is that! You are the creator of your life and your world. What are you creating? What are you going to create for yourself in 2009? Think better feeling thoughts and you will live a better feeling life. You can do it.

Welcome to the first message and newsletter of 2009! I am only just now writing it as I’m in Chile and have spent the beginning of the New Year re-charging my inner batteries. We spent the first week of the year camping in beautiful Pucon, and last week we camped out in a remote place in the mountains with no access to internet, computers or electricity surrounded by forest and hot springs. December 2008 - The Year that Was
December 2008 - The Year that Was

As 2008 draws to a close many of us will look back on it as the Year that Was. The year that was a turning point from our old reality to the new. The year that we finally let go of so many old beliefs and patterns that we’d been chipping away at for years (or lifetimes). The year that we stepped out from our fears and jumped into the beckoning unknown, because not jumping was becoming more uncomfortable than jumping.
It was the year that many of us finally realised that our higher self was not just a concept, but the higher version of who we really are, already existing right now in the higher dimensions, guiding us in every single moment, calling us constantly ‘this way this way’, holding the vision for us of our best possible selves and lives, and not giving one iota of notice to anything other than that. Our higher self WANTS us to be our best possible self, and live our best possible life, and it was the year to say “Enough! I am going to stop fighting my own best self and go with the flow already!!”
It was the year many of us decided to vote our ‘other self’ off the island, the part of us that voiced constant doubt, fear, ‘but how’, ‘what if’, ‘i can’t’, and other self-sabotaging concepts that will soon sound like the most crazy, foreign concepts ever to indulge in. Why would you indulge in thoughts and feelings that don’t FEEL good? Why did we? It doesn’t matter anymore, those days are falling fast behind us.
For many of us our faith in everything we have believed in was put to the test. So you think you create your own reality? You truly believe in the Law of Attraction? You really believe everything you need will come to you? Okay, then. Do you believe these things only when you have lots of money in the bank, a great job, a wonderful relationship and a beautiful home, or do you start panicking when things start going a little pear-shaped? Do you really believe in these things or do you still have old subconscious fears lurking that ask “What if the money runs out? What if I lose this great job/relationship?” This was the year to clear all the cobwebs to ensure that a) we always have all that we need and b) we know that we will always have everything we need and there is truly no such thing as abundance running out or losing anything you truly need.
A lot of people I know, myself included, have lived with the knowing for many, many years that the universe will always provide for us. We have visions about things we want to manifest and create and for the most part they eventually come to be. We may not always have a large amount of direct income from our work, but we are always financially supported usually in such generous ways, with unexpected sums of money coming to us when we most need it, or other forms of abundance coming in other ways, again when we need it. However, something unusual happened this year to a lot of people I know, myself included. The bank account went down, and it kept going down! Now usually this is no cause for concern because eventually once it hits a certain point something miraculous happens and up it goes again. But this time, it just kept plummeting!
Now, as many of you know, my partner Christian and I have decided to be nomads for a while. Technology has made it possible to live and work unattached to any one geographical location, so we are living the life of our dreams wherever we feel like. We have placed our trust and faith in our higher selves, knowing that they will never guide us astray. Financially we started with a healthy amount, but all of a sudden several things happened at once. The economy buckled, the Australian dollar and stock market crashed, and all of a sudden here we were in the US, with a one way ticket to Chile planning to travel through South America for a while with a bank account going south fast. We had a night of feeling like crap, before we picked ourselves up and made a decision. We either believe in what we believe in, all the way, or we might as well go home and say to everyone well we tried, but hey the law of attraction just didn’t work for us, at some point the luck’s gotta run out! Well there was no way we were going to do that, because we just didn’t believe that it does run out! (Although in our deep subconscious recesses maybe parts of us did fear this, and here was an opportunity to clear that out!!)
Sure, it may seem crazy to some people, to have a few hundred dollars in your account and a one way ticket to Chile, to just keep going, but that’s exactly what we decided to do! How could I ever write about this or speak about it or give sessions to people asking them to take leaps of faith unless I myself lived it and breathed it 100%? I have always lived it and breathed it, and to stop now, just because of a mere financial number in my bank account, just didn’t feel right. What is more real to me, a number in an account, or Spirit and the Universe and my higher self and guides? I had to keep going.
First thing, we had to make a total renewed commitment to high vibrating, postitive thoughts only! No more snippets of fear, doubt, worry or ‘but how, or ‘what if’s’. We had to make a total commitment to our higher selves and did a beautiful exercise on the California Coast, writing a send off to our old selves thanking them for serving us, but it was now time for us to align with our new, higher selves, fully and truly and wholly. We made promises to our higher selves, that we would no longer fight them, and instead surrender to them, allowing them to take us to all that we needed and deserved. It felt liberating!
From that moment there was a very real shift in the air. We just kept holding the picture of what we wanted – specifically to keep travelling, and we didn’t waver from that. Magic and miracles continued to unfold, just as they have been this whole trip, yet in an ever more amazing way. We came across the most luxurious hotel rooms for half the price we would usually pay for a standard one. We were invited to beautiful and inspiring events and places that helped keep our vibration high. Our bank account was still a little what the, but strangely looking at the number $100 felt like looking at $1000 or $100 000, the number was iirelevant, it was this overwhelming feeling of faith in abundance that prevailed. One day we went for a walk and saw the word Believe on someone’s roof, all decked out in Christmas lights. Later that day I opened a card in a gift shop, it lit up with coloured lights inside and said Believe. We walked through the mall a few minutes later and passed a woman with a huge red bag that said Believe. We got the message.
I got further messages during meditation and journalling, about the spiritual bank account that ALL of us have access to. It is limitless and will always provide you with all you need. It is real. I wrote a list of upcoming bills and expenses that would be coming up in the next week, and was very specific with what I needed money for and the amount needed. I didn’t come from a place of lack, I wrote the list as if it was a done deal eg I now withdraw $125 from my account for the internet, thank you Verizon so much for making it possible for us to have access to the world every day. I attached a feeling of deep gratitude and appreciation for everything I would be paying, as that’s how I truly feel about everything I give out money for. Once I’d written my list, it added up to quite a large amount, that we needed within the week. Something inside me just knew it would be okay, I had a sense of complete faith and calm and had done a very clear meditation giving myself to the keys to my spiritual bank. I recommend you do the same.
The day before we needed the money, we just affirmed that the money was coming. To do anything else would be to say ‘we don’t really believe’ and did we need any more signs that believing was the way to go! That evening we got an unexpected gift deposited into our bank account, a very generous ‘early’ Christmas present that was for the exact amount we needed. We hadn’t told anyone that we needed it, so it was truly for us a sign (yes another one) that Ask, Believe, Receive, is true is true is true. We continue to say thank you every morning and night (and countless times during the day) for all we have and all we desire for our future and I can't recommend this enough. We always ask that all things come in a good way, and I suggest you do too. (You have probably heard of stories like the man who asked for money and got a retrenchment pay out or the woman who asked for freedom and her husband left her - SO ask that what you ask for comes in a GOOD way!)
It is easy to believe in abundance when you have it, but it is truly a vibrational challenge to believe in it when physically your bank account is saying other things! I know that many people are in this ‘challenging’ situation this Christmas, but I invite you to take this challenge and turn it into an opportunity. Decide that you believe in Spirit and the Universe and your guides and higher self (and whoever else you believe in) MORE than you believe in numbers in an account. Visualise what you need. See yourself wrapping and giving presents. Feel yourself into joy and happiness, knowing everything will be okay. For the miracle can’t happen from a place of lack and fear, it just can’t. (In fact these kind of 'not feeling good' emotions are a good sign that you are not in that moment connected to what your higher self wants for you). Give yourself the keys to your spiritual bank account and align completely and wholly with your higher self. Say goodbye to your old self and old thoughts and fears, because they can’t work anymore with what you want in your new reality.
Many people have told us that we are lucky to be on this travelling adventure, and we are truly blessed. Yet we are not doing anything that you can’t be doing too. It is not everyone’s dream to live life in this nomadic way, but everyone does have a dream, so your job is to work out what yours is. Because 2009 is truly going to be the year where all our dreams can and will start coming true, and the only thing stopping anyone now will be their own old self. So leave your old self behind in 2008 (farewell them with much love) and give yourself permission to have a great life. To live your dreams, and be happy and prosperous and abundant and anything else you truly want.

I am going to stop fighting my own best self and go with the flow already!!”
It was the year many of us decided to vote our ‘other self’ off the island, the part of us that voiced constant doubt, fear, ‘but how’, ‘what if’, ‘i can’t’, and other self-sabotaging concepts that will soon sound like the most crazy, foreign concepts ever to indulge in. Why would you indulge in thoughts and feelings that don’t FEEL good? Why did we? It doesn’t matter anymore, those days are falling fast behind us.
For many of us our faith in everything we have believed in was put to the test. So you think you create your own reality? You truly believe in the Law of Attraction? You really believe everything you need will come to you? Okay, then. Do you believe these things only when you have lots of money in the bank, a great job, a wonderful relationship and a beautiful home, or do you start panicking when things start going a little pear-shaped? Do you really believe in these things or do you still have old subconscious fears lurking that ask “What if the money runs out? What if I lose this great job/relationship?” This was the year to clear all the cobwebs to ensure that a) we always have all that we need and b) we know that we will always have everything we need and there is truly no such thing as abundance running out or losing anything you truly need.
A lot of people I know, myself included, have lived with the knowing for many, many years that the universe will always provide for us. We have visions about things we want to manifest and create and for the most part they eventually come to be. We may not always have a large amount of direct income from our work, but we are always financially supported usually in such generous ways, with unexpected sums of money coming to us when we most need it, or other forms of abundance coming in other ways, again when we need it. However, something unusual happened this year to a lot of people I know, myself included. The bank account went down, and it kept going down! Now usually this is no cause for concern because eventually once it hits a certain point something miraculous happens and up it goes again. But this time, it just kept plummeting!
Now, as many of you know, my partner Christian and I have decided to be nomads for a while. Technology has made it possible to live and work unattached to any one geographical location, so we are living the life of our dreams wherever we feel like. We have placed our trust and faith in our higher selves, knowing that they will never guide us astray. Financially we started with a healthy amount, but all of a sudden several things happened at once. The economy buckled, the Australian dollar and stock market crashed, and all of a sudden here we were in the US, with a one way ticket to Chile planning to travel through South America for a while with a bank account going south fast. We had a night of feeling like crap, before we picked ourselves up and made a decision. We either believe in what we believe in, all the way, or we might as well go home and say to everyone well we tried, but hey the law of attraction just didn’t work for us, at some point the luck’s gotta run out! Well there was no way we were going to do that, because we just didn’t believe that it does run out! (Although in our deep subconscious recesses maybe parts of us did fear this, and here was an opportunity to clear that out!!)
Sure, it may seem crazy to some people, to have a few hundred dollars in your account and a one way ticket to Chile, to just keep going, but that’s exactly what we decided to do! How could I ever write about this or speak about it or give sessions to people asking them to take leaps of faith unless I myself lived it and breathed it 100%? I have always lived it and breathed it, and to stop now, just because of a mere financial number in my bank account, just didn’t feel right. What is more real to me, a number in an account, or Spirit and the Universe and my higher self and guides? I had to keep going.
First thing, we had to make a total renewed commitment to high vibrating, postitive thoughts only! No more snippets of fear, doubt, worry or ‘but how, or ‘what if’s’. We had to make a total commitment to our higher selves and did a beautiful exercise on the California Coast, writing a send off to our old selves thanking them for serving us, but it was now time for us to align with our new, higher selves, fully and truly and wholly. We made promises to our higher selves, that we would no longer fight them, and instead surrender to them, allowing them to take us to all that we needed and deserved. It felt liberating!
From that moment there was a very real shift in the air. We just kept holding the picture of what we wanted – specifically to keep travelling, and we didn’t waver from that. Magic and miracles continued to unfold, just as they have been this whole trip, yet in an ever more amazing way. We came across the most luxurious hotel rooms for half the price we would usually pay for a standard one. We were invited to beautiful and inspiring events and places that helped keep our vibration high. Our bank account was still a little what the, but strangely looking at the number $100 felt like looking at $1000 or $100 000, the number was iirelevant, it was this overwhelming feeling of faith in abundance that prevailed. One day we went for a walk and saw the word Believe on someone’s roof, all decked out in Christmas lights. Later that day I opened a card in a gift shop, it lit up with coloured lights inside and said Believe. We walked through the mall a few minutes later and passed a woman with a huge red bag that said Believe. We got the message.
I got further messages during meditation and journalling, about the spiritual bank account that ALL of us have access to. It is limitless and will always provide you with all you need. It is real. I wrote a list of upcoming bills and expenses that would be coming up in the next week, and was very specific with what I needed money for and the amount needed. I didn’t come from a place of lack, I wrote the list as if it was a done deal eg I now withdraw $125 from my account for the internet, thank you Verizon so much for making it possible for us to have access to the world every day. I attached a feeling of deep gratitude and appreciation for everything I would be paying, as that’s how I truly feel about everything I give out money for. Once I’d written my list, it added up to quite a large amount, that we needed within the week. Something inside me just knew it would be okay, I had a sense of complete faith and calm and had done a very clear meditation giving myself to the keys to my spiritual bank. I recommend you do the same.
The day before we needed the money, we just affirmed that the money was coming. To do anything else would be to say ‘we don’t really believe’ and did we need any more signs that believing was the way to go! That evening we got an unexpected gift deposited into our bank account, a very generous ‘early’ Christmas present that was for the exact amount we needed. We hadn’t told anyone that we needed it, so it was truly for us a sign (yes another one) that Ask, Believe, Receive, is true is true is true. We continue to say thank you every morning and night (and countless times during the day) for all we have and all we desire for our future and I can't recommend this enough. We always ask that all things come in a good way, and I suggest you do too. (You have probably heard of stories like the man who asked for money and got a retrenchment pay out or the woman who asked for freedom and her husband left her - SO ask that what you ask for comes in a GOOD way!)
It is easy to believe in abundance when you have it, but it is truly a vibrational challenge to believe in it when physically your bank account is saying other things! I know that many people are in this ‘challenging’ situation this Christmas, but I invite you to take this challenge and turn it into an opportunity. Decide that you believe in Spirit and the Universe and your guides and higher self (and whoever else you believe in) MORE than you believe in numbers in an account. Visualise what you need. See yourself wrapping and giving presents. Feel yourself into joy and happiness, knowing everything will be okay. For the miracle can’t happen from a place of lack and fear, it just can’t. (In fact these kind of 'not feeling good' emotions are a good sign that you are not in that moment connected to what your higher self wants for you). Give yourself the keys to your spiritual bank account and align completely and wholly with your higher self. Say goodbye to your old self and old thoughts and fears, because they can’t work anymore with what you want in your new reality.
Many people have told us that we are lucky to be on this travelling adventure, and we are truly blessed. Yet we are not doing anything that you can’t be doing too. It is not everyone’s dream to live life in this nomadic way, but everyone does have a dream, so your job is to work out what yours is. Because 2009 is truly going to be the year where all our dreams can and will start coming true, and the only thing stopping anyone now will be their own old self. So leave your old self behind in 2008 (farewell them with much love) and give yourself permission to have a great life. To live your dreams, and be happy and prosperous and abundant and anything else you truly want.
